Every Friday, Reaux Fareal’s Parlay Foundation, challenges people on social media to donate $5 to an HBCU Student. The campaign is called “I Got Five On It Fridays”. Covid has depleted the income of minority families all over the country and it has affected the available funds for collegiate students. Every Friday, a selected HBCU or an affiliated organization with that college submits a student who could use the extra blessing.

Students may use the money for:

A. Tuition

B. Books / Fees

C. Housing / Rent

D. Food / Gas / Expenses

E. Medical Expenses

How The Students Are Selected

Reaux Fareal plays no role in selecting the students. It’s pretty much a cycle of HBCU’s. The Parlay Foundation compiled a list of HBCU’s. Each week, we simply reach out to the university and ask them to submit a student who could use financial aid. The university’s will sometimes suggest a campus organization or an Alumni Outreach group to select the student. In the past we have worked with Delta Sigma Theta, The Baptist Student Union, NAACP, and the AKA Sorority.

In the past, Parlay has been able to help students at Dillard University, Grambling St. University, Edward Waters College, Huston Tolliston College, Wiley College, Xavier University, Bethune Cookman College, Southern University, Albany St. University, and Fisk.
